Misunderstanding Your Customers

What exactly do they want from you? Don’t assume you already know. Kodak and Polaroid made that mistake and went from dominating the market, to a sliver of market share by assuming what everyone wanted was higher quality film when in fact, what they wanted was the ability to share photos at a very small cost.

So ask yourself, do your customers want it done really well, allowing for a higher cost or, is your market heading towards a demand of faster production, closing out files quicker, at a lower cost?

Sometimes its hard to see the forest for the trees, and the pace of every day doesn’t help, but step back for a moment and take a look over the next few weeks. What does it look like from your point of view?
